How to feel rich and fortunate even when you don’t have much?
How to feel rich and fortunate even when you don’t have much?
When you cast your bread across the waters ... Who will find it downstream?
And how will they arrive to you to repay for it?

Many loaves of bread float along the rivers, some people send them, and others receive.
This is the ongoing, endless cycle of giving and receiving that accurately represents the process of life.

When we give out of pure desire to share abundance, and do it without expecting immediate gratification, we do ourselves a great service:

The very act of giving, even when we do not have much, releases us from our neediness and elevates us spiritually.
We are grateful for what life has already given to us, even if it’s only a little, and thus we feel rich and lucky and our thoughts are directed to the needs of others.

We are no longer poor and miserable, but rich and generous.
And as the Sages said: We make a living from what we can achieve, but live life to the fullest through what we give.
